During wildfire season, it is important to ensure that you and your loved ones are prepared in case of an emergency. Here's a list of things you can do to be better prepared:

- Update your PG&E contact information to receive notifications for future Public Safety Power Shutdowns

Napa County staff has been working diligently on enhancing preparedness for future emergencies through the use of
- fire watch cameras to monitor activity across the region
- evacuation tags to help first-responders identify evacuated homes (call the Sheriff’s Office at 707-253-4509 to obtain one)
- new emergency sirens on deputy vehicles, also known as "hi-lo" sirens
- creating evacuation routes for the areas with the most fire danger
- increased vegetation management
- response plan for PG&E's power shutoffs
NVUSD will work with Napa County police, sheriff, fire and health departments to provide air quality guidelines to families for outdoor activities and/or school closures.
