Distance Learning Plan Begins April 13
Posted 4/3/20

With the announcement that school facilities will remain closed through this school year, we want to emphasize that school is not over. Learning will continue at every grade level and we have designed a robust remote learning plan that will start after spring break, on April 13, and continue through the rest of the school year. We know these efforts cannot replicate the rich variety of experiences that we offer in our schools, but we are committed to engaging students in new and creative ways.

NVUSD teachers and staff have been heroic in their efforts to build schedules, resources and learning platforms appropriate for our elementary and secondary levels. In partnership with the teacher unions we now have new protocols in place to ensure our teachers are available and prepared for remote instruction.

Technology and Chromebooks
Any NVUSD student that needs a Chromebook is eligible to receive one. You must fill out the Technology Survey if you haven’t already done so. Please know we are just starting to distribute the chromebooks and this process will continue throughout spring break and beyond if needed. Once you complete the survey, you will get an invitation for a scheduled time and location to pick up your students Chromebook. Please be patient as we have thousands of chromebooks we are trying to distribute in a safe and orderly manner. If you have any questions please email cbdeployment@nvusd.org.
