facilities in the country for football — if you happen to be driving down Menlo Avenue in the coming weeks and months.  After 50-some years, the aging facility is getting a facelift."

Demolition of the old stadium began December, 2009.  Due to the excessive amount of inclement weather crews lost 50 days to rain during the winter and spring. To get the project completed by the Oct. 8, 2010 deadline,  there was a major effort during the last four weeks of construction.  Although the facility was open and hosting sporting events by the end of October, the Napa Valley Unified School District officially dedicated the new stadium on Nov. 5, Big Game Night. In addition to the football match, a sellout crowd of over 6,500 fans, were treated to a special ceremony, recognizing the parties who worked on the project and saw it through to completion.

Located on the 1400 block of Menlo Ave. in Napa, Memorial Stadium is located in a residential neighborhood two blocks west of Jefferson St.
