School Planning & Construction Projects

The Facilities Master Plan for NVUSD provides a structure of three tiers of projects, completed over a 10-year time period through 2025.

Tier One


Tier One projects are funded with the passage of Measure H, June 2016, plus matching state funds.



  • Seismic Safety: Reconstruction and Relocation (Napa Junction ES, Snow ES, Stone Bridge Charter);

  • New School Construction: Napa Pipe, Watson Ranch, American Canyon Middle School #2;

  • Enhance and/or add fire safety, alarms, security cameras, electronic door locks and perimeter fencing;

  • Replace aging portables. Replace HVAC systems. Modernize classroom space;

  • Replace and/or modernize restrooms, libraries, fine art venues and multi-use rooms/gymnasiums.

  • Measure H Bond Projects, Phase 1 (2016-2019)

Tier Two


Tier Two projects are partially funded with the passage of Measure H, June 2016, plus matching state funds.



  • Improve technology infrastructure (servers, routers, fiber, communications, system integration; excludes staff/student devices);

  • Upgrade kitchens and improve common student gathering/serving areas;

  • Add or improve wellness centers and at some schools, gymnasiums/athletic centers;

  • Address campus access issues, including parking and flow of traffic.

Tier Three


Tier Three projects require future funding.



  • Add or improve parent outreach/community use facilities;

  • Replace aging furniture and create flexible learning spaces;

  • Rehabilitate artificial turf fields;

  • Replace and/or rehabilitate pool facilities at NHS.
