Migrant Education is a federal program that provides services to students and their families, whose main source of income comes from the Agricultural Industry, and who have had to move within the last year, as a result of looking for work.

Migrant Education provides one-on-one family outreach, connecting families with community and school services including; medical and mental health, tutoring support, resources for clothing, housing, and food.

Migrant Education services provides support to families in becoming more involved in their children's educations, through regular parent education opportunities, through the Parent Advisory Committee.

In NVUSD, there are four Parent Liaisons who assist with delivering services to Migrant Education students, as well as a number of teachers and leaders throughout the district who collaborate with Migrant Education Staff, responding to the needs of eligible families.
