Napa Valley Register




The following items will be included on the agenda of the Napa Valley Unified School District Board of Education regular meeting on October 2, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the Napa Valley Unified School District’s Education Center, 2425 Jefferson Street, Napa, CA 94558.

1. Public Hearing and Adoption of Resolution Certifying Compliance with Education Code Section 60119 – A public hearing and Board Certification of Compliance are required in order to be eligible to receive instructional materials funds from the State of California. The Governing Board will hold a public hearing in which parents, teachers, and community members are encouraged to discuss the sufficiency of the district’s textbooks and instructional materials for the 2014-2015 fiscal year.

2. Public Hearing and Certification of Compliance with Education Code Section 60422 – Education Code Section 60422 requires local education agencies to certify that they have provided each pupil with standards-aligned textbooks or basic instructional materials and that they have done so within the time limit stated.
