Currently employed by NVUSD:

Download the job description(s) linked above and complete the application on side 2, then return to Human Resources.

 

Not currently employed by NVUSD:

  • Complete the summer school application on side 2 of the job descriptions linked above
  • Complete a District application for classified employment
  • Provide current verification from your physician of freedom from Tuberculosis
  • Fingerprint clearance by the NVUSD Human Resources Department

 

Important to Know:

A prerequisite for employment as an Instructional Assistant is the proof of passing the Instructional Assistant Proficiency Test for the Napa Valley Unified School District.

 

EXCEPTIONS TO TAKING THIS TEST (at least one item must be fulfilled):

  • Possession of a current California Teaching Credential
  • Possession of an AA degree or higher
  • At least 48 units
  • Passing CBEST (California Basic Education Skills Test)

If you do not meet any of these requirements or have not already taken the IA test you must do so prior to being employed. Please contact Napa Valley Adult Education, 253-3594, for the next test date.
