21st Century Mission & Priorities

Message from the Superintendent

The 2012-13 school year is positioned to be a great one thanks to the support and commitment from our teachers, administrators, parents and community at large, all pulling in the same direction.  We are all dedicated to preparing every child to be ready for college, careers and the real world in the 21st Century.

Our mission is to transform lives by instilling 21st Century skills and to inspire lifelong learning.  We believe it is imperative that we make learning relevant to the real world in order that our students can thrive in the work force, contribute to their communities and become respected members of society.

In addition to the basic traditional education imperatives, it is crucial that our students master the 21st Century skills known as the four C’s: critical thinking, effective communicationcollaboration on teams, and expanding upon students’ natural creativity.  We are committed to creating powerful learning opportunities to ensure that we succeed.

Our priorities for this school year are:

  • Ready All Students for College and Careers
  • Provide Opportunities for All
  • Instill 21st Century Skills

Please join us as we teach, learn and engage.

Thank you for your support,

Patrick J. Sweeney, Ed. D.

Superintendent
