A New Face for Summer School· Credit Recovery is shifting from “summer school” to a year-round model. Those students in grades 10-12 who have failed classes and need to make up units may attend classes on the Adult Education campus and on the American Canyon High School campus. Contracts need to be submitted by the school counselor to Adult Education and prioritized by need, i.e., 12th graders needing credits to graduate will be top priority, then 12th, 11th and 10th graders accordingly. A blended model including direct instruction and Apex digital curriculum will be utilized in these classrooms. The summer session will be held from June 13th – July 11th. · Special Education will have Extended School Year for students who have this service on their IEP. For information, contact Leslie Montoro in Special Education at 258-7949. · Migrant Education will hold the Adelante program at Valley Oak High School. For information, contact Maria Cisneros at 253-3427. Everyone’s cooperation and patience is appreciated.
